As part of Austin Fashion Week, fair trade handbag company, Purse & Clutch has partnered with Stone + Smith, J. Hannah Co. and BEAM to host Poolside: The Summer Collection, a week long collaborative pop-up April 25 to May 2 at The Linc. The pop-up boutique will showcase the summer collections of Stone + Smith jewelry, J. Hannah Co. natural perfumes and Purse & Clutch handbags, with art and textiles by BEAM.

Poolside will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and host several events including an Austin Fashion Week Showcase on Friday, April 25, at 8 p.m. Fashion lovers are invited to come enjoy complimentary drinks at this interactive runway event featuring live mannequins. The following day, Saturday, April 26, shoppers are invited to sip on cocktails as they shop at Poolside’s Happy Hour event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The pop-up also gives shoppers the unique opportunity to attend fashion and beauty focused panels and workshops. Poolside will feature two panels discussing trends with tastemakers and local designers, including Purse & Clutch founder Jen Lewis. On Monday, April 28, panel-goers will hear tastemakers discuss the ins and outs of staying current in a fast paced, ever-changing fashion environment. Then, on Wednesday, April 30, Lewis will host an interactive discussion about Ethical Fashion, how people can get involved, and how it could change the fashion landscape.

Poolside will also host two Natural Perfume Workshops with Jessica of J. Hannah Co. The workshops, held on Sunday, April 27, and Tuesday, April 29, at 5 p.m., are limited to 12 participants per workshop, will cost $45 per person and each attendee will receive a quarter ounce of custom blended perfume to take home.

Finally, with Mother’s Day just around the corner, Poolside will feature a Mother’s Day themed event on Thursday, May 1. The Mother’s Appreciation Day will offer pampering, some entertainment for the kids, and the opportunity for shoppers to find the perfect Mother’s Day gift.

Austin-based painter and textile designer, Callie Thompson of BEAM will showcase her new summer collection of digitally printed scarves utilizing eco-friendly ink on silks and cottons throughout the week-long pop-up event.

Purse & Clutch will also be participating in Austin Fashion Week’s Shop787 event presented by Avant Garde Jewelers Overview on Monday, April 28, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Austin Music Hall. The event marks Austin Fashion Week’s first shopping event featuring only local brands. Forty to 50 retailers will participate in the event and tickets are $10 to attend. All attendees will also receive a $10 gift card to be used at the event.
