Frizzy Hair Fix: 5 Must-Haves For The Best Hair Ever

by Tara Bradley, Best of Beauty

We were not all born with Duchess Kate-esque locks so here are five hair products to tame the fro and get your strands shiny, silky and smooth.

1. Shampoo: Ouidad Climate Control Defrizzing Shampoo

Don’t let the curl factor fool you, this brand also works great for smoothing non-curly hair types too. What’s best is that it’s gentle and sulfate-free so it will save your color and it helps with frizz. It also helps that it smells amaz-ing.

2. Conditioner: Ouidad Climate Control Defrizzing Conditioner

You can’t have one without the other, the perfect companion to Ouidad’s shampoo is its detangling conditioner. Amino acids hydrate strands while their “Humidity Shield Complex” smoothes and protects when humidity rears its ugly head (pun intended).

Expert tip: For extra smooth locks, use the conditioner before you shampoo. You heard it here.

3. Styling: Keratin Complex Glowtion Potion Styling Oil

Don’t be deterred by the term “oil” – this magic little number is lightweight and works to add shine to even the coarsest of manes. Silicone smoothes cuticles and protects against humidity while sealing in color.

4. Blow dryer: T3 Featherweight 2

Believe it or not, this dryer is better for your hair than air drying. Why? A special fan creates ion-enriched air in a wide cone shape so it can dry large sections of hair to reduce drying time. The ions themselves cancel static and seal the cuticle shut quickly. Translation: Shiny hair fast.  It also has two speeds and three heat settings including a cooling feature. We call that guiltless blowdrying.

5. Hair Spray: Moroccan Oil Hair Spray

Moroccan Oil was all the rage when it hit the beauty aisle but the brand’s hair spray is where it’s at. It provides medium hold, brushes out easy and is a far cry from the AquaNets and TK from the 80s. It creates a “shine shield” on the hair that not only protects it but works as a shine spray too. The line’s beloved Argan Oil means you get the smoothing effects and that lovely scent. Your perfume might get jealous.
